How can I smoothen my scar/rough patch of skin?

I've had this scar for a few years. My sweatpants were rubbing against the shaft of my penis and I guess I got a friction burn. Eventually, a rough and hard patch of skin formed where the burn was. I'm not really sure how to get rid of it, or just smoothen it out.

I’d recommend, Vaseline or coconut oil. Maybe even both. For Vaseline you could just rub it on your scar everyday and it might make your skin softer and more healthy as for coconut oil it can make the scar lighter and less visible and your skin cells could regenerate.
