I lowered my HBV naturally!

Ok, here’s the deal.  Some of you guys may have read my post asking for help or information.  I’m a chronic hbv carrier since birth.  My viral loads has been in the millions with elevated alt and ast.  And my doctor (which I highly respect) has been wanting me to go on antivirals and I haven’t just because I was so scared of the side effects and they are scary.  It wasn’t something I was ready to do yet so I went on a mission to look for alternatives.  This is what I’ve been playing with but it wasn’t until recent that I was serious about until I knew I was going to schedule another blood work up.  My viral loads has been high in millions iu/ml until yesterday’s result was 530 iu/ml.  Still waiting on my liver results but I promised myself that I would share with others if this works.
I came across a mushroom called Reishi and it has over 2,000 medical peer review studies and it has tons of health benefits and one in particular was that it’s very effective at lowering hepatitis viral load.  It’s also the most highest antioxidant and anti inflammatory superfood on the planet.  Here’s what I did for a full month prior to taking blood work.
Every morning (on empty stomach), I make hot green tea with Reishi mushroom (found a company that sells the green tea and has reishi in it.  I add tablespoon of raw honey (also has antiviral properties), about teaspoon or a little more of tumoric powder, stir and drink.  I didn’t do anything extra like drink more water, although it would help to stay hyderated.  Sometimes I would do this at night too.  But for sure every morning.  I’ve always ate healthy, don’t drink alcohol and don’t smoke.  And the results are viral load to 530 iu/ml.  If my liver tests is noramal, my doctor said that he would just monitor every 6 months.  He is blown away by my result.  There is a little more to this story but I can explain more later.
Stef and a few other people may remember my post asking for help and I was the one who was very afraid of the side effects.  However, my last week’s appointment was for me to take antivirals.  I came to decision that it was time so I can keep my liver healthy for when a cure is out. Please look up the info for yourself.
Thank God there is something natural to help this.

Hey Cabin3, your results have really inspired me. How have things been for you recently. Are you still on the same regiment? I'd like to try using only the reishi mushroom to get my viral loads down.
My viral load is undetectable and alt ast well within normal range.  Yes, I still drink reishi mushroom or take capsule and continue to work on my gut health.  I follow Dr. Patrick Flynn on FB for all health related things.
Thanks for responding to my comment Cabin3. I starting taking reishi powder twice a day for about a 2 weeks and I have been seeing improvements in my symptoms. For about 2 years now I have been have various bodily pains and discomfort, especially around the right side of my liver. My viral loads have also been increasing rapidly. I'm not sure if there is something that triggered it but I am hoping the reishi will get it down.
Have you experienced any symptoms from having Chronic Hep B?

Ok update.  My viral load is at infected table range and alt and ast is well in the normal range.  I have been doing reishi mushroom with green tea and doing anti inflammatory diet to support the liver.

Please I don't know how to interpret my HBV-DNA results

October 2018  results:
HBV-DNA = 7.84E+2 IU/ml by PCR

June 2018  results:
HBV-DNA = 1.23E+3 IU/ml by PCR

Which of the above result is better ? What do they mean in actual figures?

These results were done in a Public hospital in China.

I would be grateful for your advice.

Thanks

I'd be very curious to know something. We have a list of things are are not supposed to take with our medications (ex Milk Thistle). Are Reishi mushrooms part of that list? Do we have a running list somewhere of what we CAN'T take with our meds (Tenofovir or Enctv.)?

Hi Luckyman, I don’t have the list or was aware of any.  But I know from the study of Reishi (2,000 medical studies) that says it has no known drug interaction.
This link is just a basic understanding of Reishi but if you look under pubmed, it has more detailed info.  I got interested because I went to a health talk and that doctor is a specialist on Reishi and says that it has major anti viral properties and very effective at lowering viral load of hepatitis and hiv.  So I thought why not try it.  The Chinese have been having longevity with this herb for over 2,000 years.  Considered the KING of herbs.

Also keep in mind that the reason why some docs don’t want you to take some herbs is because they may have impact on your numbers, correct?  So if you take certain herbs that they know have an effect, they don’t have a way or don’t want to measure the effectiveness of the herb due to its not a drug.  Not the doctors protocol.  They can’t control or incentivized to monitor it.  I’m not discrediting doctors, they are amazing but they follow hospitals protocol which is incentivized by drug companies.  But this is by no means medical advic.  Just someone looking at options and in a life journey on health and happiness.  Also, don’t get me wrong, all the antivirals that they prescribe is effective at lowering VL but I just wanted to see if there were alternatives before I start a life long commitment to drugs.

Chep, I’d be happy to share info but it’s all detailed above of the three things I did every morning.  I didn’t do anything different for the rest of the day, just had that morning routine on empty stomach.  But you can ask me specific questions and I will do my best to answer.
The three things: Reishi mushroom in green tea, raw honey, and tumeric with hot water (not microwave hot water, but either boiled hot water or in an electric kettle).

hbvdna goes up down and und during infection with no meaning for infected cells in the liver, itis just replication, the only thing that can show clearance of infected cells is hbsag going down
I don’t think in the US that they test for HBsAg.  But I’ve never seen my numbers this low from millions iu to 500.  I’m not saying that it’s lowering HBsAg, just that hbv viral load came down significantly that even my doctor was really surprised.  But I will continue to monitor every six months.  Hopefully since viral load is lower that perhaps my immune system has a fighting chance to develop surface antibodies???
I just stared tenofovir (viread). My last blood test are: Alt 66 Iu/ml, Ast 45 iu/ml, Hbv-dna 4.6*10^5 iu/ml, Hbsag 660 Iu/ml, fibrsocan F2 (8,4-9-2 kpa). This is third round (after 2 failded treatments with interferon)

Ciao Stef!
