Is this vitamin d recovery normal?

I was tested about 5 weeks ago and my vitamin D level was 30. After an entire year of brain fog, light headedness, muscle weakness, numbness in fingers, bone pain and extreme fatigue - I finally tested my vit d and there it was! I've been on 5000IU D3 for 5 weeks daily. My symptoms haven't 100% improved. Some days I feel better some I feel worse. We re tested my levels a few days ago and I'm up to 65. Even though my levels are up, is it possible for me to be still feeing the affects of being low for a year? With levels being up, has anyone else experienced longer to actually had symptoms fade?

Some people mention they feel better after a year of vitamin D.  This reminds me of my hypothyroid issues. I had optimal thyroid hormone levels but didn't feel on top of things for 2 years.
