About 9 months ago I started getting really bad sharp pains in my lower right abdomen. I went to the ER and I had an ultrasound. The doctor said they MIGHT have seen a very very small cyst on my right ovary but they weren’t positive and that was the end of that. Then I went to a gynecologist and she prescribed me birth control since I was still having pain a few weeks after my hospital visit. She told me if it was a cyst, the birth control would stop the pain and get rid of it. But then about two months later I started to get very sick a lot. I would throw up at least once a week and I was constantly tired and getting bad headaches and nausea. That has lasted for around 7 months now. I told my primary care doctor about it and he dismissed it as “women problems”. I went back to my gynecologist and she did a physical exam and checked inside of me and pressed on my abdomen and she said that she strongly believed my pain was not ovarian related but I’m not so sure. Then I went to gastroenterologist and she did some blood work. She checked my white blood cell count and other things but it all came back negative. Last night my mom felt a small lump by my ovary and it shouldn’t be a cyst because I am on birth control. Im scared it might be a tumor but I’m only 16 years old and the probability of me having ovarian cancer is very unlikely because of that. But no medications are helping my nausea and it just all keeps getting worse.
