Why does the smell of food make me sick?

I'm 25. This has been happening for at least 10 years. So it's not pregnancy. Never have been pregnant. I don't think it's food trauma or me just being picky either. Because usually it's stuff I like. Sometimes it gives me a light-headed feeling or dizziness and a headache. But it's always accompanied by nauseousness and vomiting. Usually caused by smells from a Crock-Pot cooking or going into a restraunt where there is a lot of food. It's almost as if the smells give me a sence of overeating. And I become full off of those smells. Before you say it's in my head. I can wake up from a dead sleep while someone is cooking and be sick as a dog. I don't have a problem with my weight either. I'm 5' 7" 130lbs. I'm in a healthy weight class. I actually like my weight and I eat a good amount as long as I don't smell it before hand. Please help though, I would like to be able to enjoy restraunts again.

It's possible this goes back to something your Mom made that you hated the smell of.  I love cooking with onions, but from a distance hate the smell.  Now, nausea and vomiting is going pretty far.  Some people have weird food sensitivities -- some people eat dirt in a disease called Pica.  You might also have some kind of sinus problem that affects your sense of smell, maybe heightening it -- most of our sense of taste is actually our sense of smell.  But if you can find some connection to something that bothered you when you were young you'll have something to work on.
