Chest xray: Mildly over inflated lungs. But..Final impression: Negative

Report said that my lungs are mildly over inflated but no infiltrates or effusions. costophrenic angles are clear. Final impression is negative. Could the over inflation be caused by the way I breathed during the xray? I don't smoke however  I live in an area with pollution. I'm a young adult. Are my lungs normal?

If you are a young adult without history of smoking, your lungs were probably just well expanded due to deep inspiration. However, hyperinflated lungs can raise the possibility of underlying emphysematous changes. If you are asymptomatic, then there is no cause for concern. If you are symptomatic, consider further evaluation with CT chest without contrast.
