Hi allow. I had a house remodeling for the last few months (approximately 3). During that time period we demolished old dry wall from the kitchen, master bathroom and bedroom. The dust was everywhere and we where engulfed in it. We had masked but would of course sometimes take them off due to discomfort. This crap was flying everywhere and all over us. At the time we where unaware dry wall from the 1950s had asbestos in it and sure enough this thing was riddled with it.
I spoken to three doctors. THREE DOCTORS and all of them have said the same thing “yes you increased your risk, no I don’t think it’s a high risk at all.” My primary doctor went so far as replying to my question, “now that I’ve put myself at risk....” his response was i am 10000% sure you are going to be fine. And those with the highest risks and normally the most occurrence are exposed to it on a daily basis for years.” A third doctor confirmed and states that given how I was exposed and the duration that I have an increased risk but it’s small.
I feel like I might not be explaining properly how much we where exposed or maybe I’m just having now a hypochondric experience.
Yes I know I increased my risk but I thought it would be a foregone conclusion not a “small increase”. Am I’m I just being to paranoid?
