Diabetes and constipation

I am diabetic type 2 patient, ages 54 and suffering from constipation.Doctor said it is due to vagus nerve weakness.what is the treatment?

It goes normal if take senna powder but gas trouble exists. I don't know I am suffering with vagus nerves problem or any other intestinal problem like bowel obstruction and inflammation

Sorry to hear.  Can you treat the symptom of constipation?  A cup of grape juice works for my son but there are stool softeners and other tricks to keep things moving.  But the issue of vagus nerve problems is such that you should follow up.  If you do indeed have weakness, they may do nerve therapy?  But many who have that also have issues with their heart and other areas.  Any other symptoms?

My ECC is normal. I am taking hypertension and diabetic medicine regularly with enough fibre, fruits and vegetable. No doubt it is vegus nerve problem
