Question with respect to floaters

Dr Hagan
In one eye I have have laser barricade for partial RD...almost 2 years ago. I have some debris, many floaters after surgery. Over past 2 years a few of my “clear” floaters have become darker.  Retina docs tell me “it happens” and nothing concerning.  But there is like a cluster of 4 that come in and out of my central vision all day long. Every 6 months seems like a new small clear circle turns darker.  Again, docs say no concern.  Just curious bc they were fine when clear but now I notice them much more since some have gotten “dark”.  I just had check a week ago and doc again said...nothing to worry...oh well. It could be a floater that was always there just comes along and hangs out?
Is it bleeding, I thought someone said that in a blog I read, but I think doc says no not bleeding.  What’s your thoughts as to why they change? Do floaters fluctuate?

Floaters vary from second to second.  As I have said here many times here, I have had floaters since about age 9, have a huge Weiss Ring in my RE.  So they can float in and out of sight and change size and shape.  By age 50 half people have floaters and 75% by age 70.   If your retina surgeon says not to worry I wouldn't.

Ok.  Thanks. So they can change shades/shape?  Thanks again
Sure just think of a pencil. Look sideways looks rectangular, look on end looks like a circle, hold it closer, looks bigger, hold it further away look smaller, look in dim light can barely see, etc.
