What STD's would an OB GYN test for?

I'm a 50 year old male that is in a long time marriage. 8 months ago I had a one night encounter with a female long time friend who is 49 and also in a long time marriage. This is the only sexual encounter I have had outside the marriage and 10 years ago I tested clean for all STD's (Military requirement). 2 months after the encounter her immune system went out of wack and she received a notice about having an abnormal pap smear. In order to narrow down the cause and rule out cancer she says they check everything in including an STD panel. She said in the end they ruled out everything including cancer and she was given hormone treatment as she was entering menopause. When I pushed her she was able to show me negative results from blood tests for HIV, Hep and Syphilis. She told me that she has multiple visits to the OB GYN and multiple swabs were taken. My questions are would Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, herpes and Trich (which is the one that concerns me the most) been tested by the OB GYN? if yes, is safe to assume they were negative if she was never treated or told she had these? I'm going to my doctor tomorrow and having a full panel done I'm just wondering if I can reasonably expect to be negative. I have experienced no symptoms of an STD in the last 8 months.

Thanks again for the input. I guess my write up wasn't clear and that's on me. No one has tested for our suspects an STD. The women friend had some woman issues a couple months after the encounter concerning an abnormal pap. I've the results of the std blood test, all negative. She doesn't have paper results for the urine or side swabs. All I'm asking is it safe to assume they were done? She was told all test came back negative but not specially what test. Hence my original question. It's just for my piece of mind as I'm getting tested anyway.

I misunderstood in your initial post as well and thought it was your wife having the tests done.  This is the friend.  I don't know without asking her that you can assume what tests she had.  She specified a couple but any others you really are only going to be guessing. I'd go along the line of thinking though that during the tests, she was negative and there was no reason for the doctor to test her for anything else if he didn't hit ALL the std's.  I honestly would not be very concerned but you do still have to test.
Ok. That was my line of thinking but I wanted another point a view. Sorry it took me so long to clearly outline the situation. When I found out I immediately asked her(the friend) if they screened for STDs. She said yes along with many many other tests. When I asked if she was 100% sure or "thought" the did STD screening she produced the blood test results. But like I said she had no paper trail on the vaginal swabs or the urine but she assured me they had been done. Which gave me some relief but as I mentioned a full screening for me is planned for today.  I do appreciate you taking time to provide input. Thanks

I'm not judging you.  I don't know you.  But it is hard to understand what you are concerned about.  Your wife and her std status or yours.  That was my point.  I don't think you can assume anything as none of that is routine testing to give women in monogamous, married relationships.  Only under certain circumstances.  All women get an HIV test and herpes test with consent when pregnant.  And otherwise, they have to request it or have some kind of symptom to warrant it. You'll have to just take your own test. But both women, your wife and the friend are in relationships that are long term (you with your wife, friend with her husband) which means their exposures were minimal over the years most likely.  I wouldn't be overly worried but you'll just need to take your own tests to know for sure.

Is it reasonable to assume that the doctor tested my friend for Chlamydia, gonorrhea, trich and herpes during the diagnoses phases? Especially if they tested for HIV, Hep and Syphilis?  Thanks

You cheated on your wife and you are wondering if you'll test negative at YOUR std check?  Don't know what all they routinely test for but maybe she suspects something and also asked for tests because you cheated.  Your exposure was with a known person presumably not high risk unless she (the friend) sleeps around a lot on her husband so your risks are pretty low.  But have your tests and be thankful you didn't get anything to pass to your wife.  And yes, what she tested negative for, you'd expect to be negative depending on the time frame (if she took a 4th gen hiv test, the time frame is 4 weeks conclusive otherwise, it is 3 months).  But every doctor is probably different in what they test for based on the circumstances. So, get a full screening and expect negatives for your wife's sake.

Sorry I thought this was a judgement free medical advice forum. Don't let the fact based nature of my write up lead to think I don't have remorse. I feel regret, sorrow, self loathing everyday. Along with enormous bouts of depression. But those facts are irrelevant to the question I was asking. But you did take time to answer my question so I do appreciate that fact. So Thank you. No one suspects an STD at this point and I'm getting tested because it's the right thing to do and I don't feel like a good person lately. Back to main question. Is it reasonable to assume that the doctor tested my friend for Chlamydia, gonorrhea, trich and herpes during the diagnoses phases? Especially if they tested for HIV, Hep and Syphilis?  Thanks
