Sound in my throat when I exhale out my mouth?

I’ve had some sort of illness for 4 days now, lots of coughing, very sore throat. I went to bed last night (struggled sleeping) woke up at midnight, got to sleep around 3am again then woke up at 5am again. When I woke up the last time I noticed there was a weird sound in my throat. Only when I exhaled through my mouth. I have asthma, but it hasn’t been a problem for a few years, and my inhaler hasn’t helped my cough, so I don’t think it’s due to that. The sound in my throat is a creaking sort of sound, a bit similar to the sound of a stomach rumbling, but quieter. It happens when I lay down and when I stand up, but more so when I’m laying down. Any solutions/ ideas of what it is?

Hello~It sounds as if you may have a strep throat, I would certainly see your physician and have a swab taken of it to determine what is going on. Also, drink as much water as possible, take extra amounts of Vitamin C, gargle every hour with pure, apple cider vinegar (this should have the "mother" in it) and take Propolis twice a day. Propolis is made by the bees and is almost as effective as penicillin, you can get it at a health food store.

I hope you feel better soon and that your doctor and my suggestions help.
