Does the mylar rash across your face get hot?

is anyone's rash hot?  sometimes mine flairs up and grows warm.  I haven't been diagnosed with lupus but my butterfly rash has been very persistent the last 6 months or so.  no swelling but I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia so pain is a constant part of my life as well as chronic fatigue.

Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums.  Thanks for the question and sorry about the delay.  The first thing to really do is to be properly diagnosed.  Hormonal imbalance can cause a pigmentation change on the face that has a similar look so you want to make sure it is truly a malar rash. Here is some information on this type of skin condition associated with lupus.  https://www.webmd.com/lupus/guide/how-lupus-affects-your-skin#1.  For some, it does feel hot.  It is of varying degrees in different people. It's treated with ointments or steroid shot and it is important to use a good sunscreen as the sun's rays make it worse.  Are you having other issues that make you suspect this autoimmune disease?  https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/lupus/symptoms-causes/syc-20365789.  The rash in and of itself warrants a visit to your doctor.  Let us know how you are doing.
