Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

Yes, others have developed MRSA post op, I am not one of them but I am aware it does happen. How are you doing now?

On 3rd week of antibiotics. Get blood work Thursday still painful and draining
I’m sorry you are dealing with this. Sounds very miserable. And hopefully they will get that under control soon.

I’ve never had that but I have what the CT report says is a post op seroma. Does anyone know what exactly that is? Is it a pseudo? Can’t find much info on it
Seroma. A seroma is a pocket of clear serous fluid that sometimes develops in the body after surgery. .

Pseudomeningocele is an extradural cerebrospinal fluid collection arising from a dural defect, that may be congenital, traumatic, or more commonly as a result of postoperative complication.

I know they sound like they could be the same thing, but the fluids are different..in a pseudo it is CSF fluid in a seroma it is serous fluid same as you would find in a blister.

I hope that helps.

Thank you Selma for that info. It was my CT report and it said fluid density collection in the overlying soft tissues is nonspecific but likely a post op seroma. And I couldn’t get much clarification
Glad it was helpful.....keep me posted.
