What do my lab results mean?

Hello,

Just received the results of my labs today and there were some abnormal values that I think are consistent with iron-deficiency anemia. I'm wondering what the cause could be and am hoping someone can help me out or share any similar personal experiences.

Hemoglobin: 10.6
RBC: 3.87
Hematocrit: 34.7
Mean corp HGB conc: 30.5
Vit D: 27
Vit B12: 370

I am a 36 year old female with chronic fatigue issues but I experience fatigue even when my values are within the appropriate range.

I have an appointment with my doctor next week but am hoping for some insight in the meantime.

Thank you!

Your doctor who ordered the tests is better able to tell you if there is anything to be concerned about or not.
I included a link to WebMD for blood work if that helps you.

I am glad you have an appointment with your doctor lined up, but couldn't you call him/her before your appointment to get some information about your results? Failing that, you can always Google this information. Just ask what is the normal values for iron in the blood? for example.

I am not good at interpreting blood results so cannot comment on your results. Also, I don't know your history or much about your illness.  Please ask a professional to save you more anxiety. I am sure they will not mind discussing this with you.
