Painful urination, occurs every few months

Every few months since I was around 14-15 I got a sharp pain in my lower left abdomen, pain increases if my body is straight up so hunching dulls it. It usually wakes me up in the night, only way to relieve the pain is to pee which causes immense pain between my urethra and lower left abdomen, the pain grows while I urinate but dulls back down when I stop until I can't urinate anymore where it relieves itself for good. I've I checked with local doctors but they are unaware of the issue, got checked for UTI's and STI's, all results were negative. Any thoughts or ideas on what it might be are greatly appreciated. P.S there's no blood in the urine and it is not cloudy, resembles regular pee

How often does this happen?  You say every few months?  What a pain.  I'd wonder about your kidneys. Do you have kidney stones, cysts, disease? Here's a symptom checker.  https://symptomchecker.webmd.com/multiple-symptoms?symptoms=difficulty-urinating|pain-or-discomfort|pain-or-discomfort&symptomids=76|1|1&locations=35|24|26. Those types of things are listed. Another possibility, not sure of your age but prostate issues also cause these symptoms.

So it's every few months and it's a sharp stabbing pain in the lower left abdomen, not a bruise and not sore it's more like a sharp pain and when I pee the pain spreads out through the left abdomen and the in the penis, it's an internal pain too. I thought kidney stones as well but there's no pain in my back or blood in the urine. Thanks for the website I will look into it!!
