Swelling between breast and armpit ?

Hello..I am 27 years old .. married for 2 years having fertility issues so no kids (husband has oligospermia)
I have recently tried ivf ... i had vigorous induction my estrogen was about 3000 before egg collection and i had overstimulated ovaries .. so i waited two months and i had a freezed cycle with hormonal replacment and it was failed
After this cycle with 2 months i felt pain in my left under arm .. i checked it was a little fattier than the right one but no lumps at all.. the pain was gone after a week or so and for the next couple of months i feel the swell and little pain around ovulation and 1 week before period
What could this be ??? I have history of cancer my sister was diagnosed and treated at age of 34 and did genetic testing that came back negative and dr told her no need to worry about your sister or daughter
Help please i am very worried and i am too scared to go to a doctor

Our bodies are so weird, aren't they! Well, first let me say that I'm glad it went away.  I think that is a really good sign.  I would wait until it recurs to see the doctor unless you have insurance and it is no big deal to go and tell them about it to get their opinion. I'm curious what they are going to say!  But cancer doesn't follow a pattern, I don't think, of coming and going like that.  I do understand why you are extra careful and worried with your sister (so glad she is okay!).  When is your next normal check up?  I think if you don't go to the doctor on Monday, I'd go ahead and make that appointment for a pap and exam and discuss all of this then.

I'd go to the appointment but hopefully at this point it is just to reassure you.  The hard thing is that there won't be anything there for them to examine. If you have this recur, I'd call your doctor and tell them this is an acute situation and you need to be seen that day or next.  Most doctors have appointments during the day for situations like this (acute care appointments that can't wait a week or more to be seen).  Then you'll be sure they can examine exactly what is going on.

Anyway, rest easy though.  It's gone!  yay!

And my sister had stage 2 breast cancer she took chemo first and then had a unilateral mastectomy through which they found no cancer cells ... thank god the chemo worked well .. this was 4 years ago .. she did the genetic testing not me and the doctor told her that i should start doing regular checkup normally at the age of 40 not sooner .

@specialmom Thank you so much for you support .. in the last couple of days i had horrible pms symptoms and the other armpit started to hurt like this one .. yesterday the menstruation started and this swelling just disappeared along with the pain .. now this confused me because i was planning to go to the dr within a week ..  should i still go or wait if it reoccurs so the ultrasound can be accurate ??

I'm sorry you are so scared sweetie.  I have been there when I am really worried and kind of freeze when I think about having a doctor examine or run tests. But that is exactly what you (and I at those times) need to overcome the fear!  I would take a deep breath and make an appointment to be seen by a doctor.  This is likely not anything to be concerned about.

What kind of cancer, by the way, did your sister have?  Yes, she was young.  But you did genetic testing and were negative?  If so, that's awesome. That means you are no more likely at your young age to get cancer than anyone else!  Keep that in mind.

This type of swelling needs to be evaluated.  Please call your doctor.  It can be a sign of cancer but also NOT a sign of cancer.  You could have a breast abscess.  The hormone issues you have been having could be affecting things. It could be hyperhidrosis, an allergic reaction.  And then there is inflammatory breast disease and lymphoma that you need to make sure you don't have.  Please consult your doctor as soon as possible.  This will probably be just fine---  please come back and let me know.
Hang in there and stay in touch!
