To what extent does sex increase blood pressure?
I have an intra-renal aneurism on my aorta (3.5 cm, they said) ... My blood pressure is well-controlled with Amlodipine and Lisinopril but I'm wondering to what extent sex increases blood pressure. I'm thinkin' any increase in blood pressure could hasten a rupture of the aneurism. Should I give up sex?
Oh my goodness. What is the plan for the aneurism? I would NOT have sex until you are cleared by your doctor. That would make me too nervous. It is probably safe . . . but I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't lift weights or do anything notorious for BP spikes.
