Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums.  Thanks for your question.  When you don't get an easy, clean mammogram report, we always worry. This is only natural.  Speaking to your doctor about this and scheduling your follow up mammogram is your next step.  In the mean time, what fibroglandular density means is that you have mostly non dense breasts with some areas of density.  https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/mammogram/in-depth/dense-breast-tissue/art-20123968.  That usually means they can't see very well to make the determination regarding your initial mammogram. So, they want to look again more thoroughly.  It does not mean they saw anything but that they are cautious and want to make sure that they don't.  Most of the time or at least very often, these follow up mammograms result in nothing being found.  Having more dense breasts puts you at slightly higher risk of breast cancer but overall, 40 percent of women have this.

When is your follow up set up?
