Who is the dad?

Recently broke up with my ex and we had a one night stand on December 28/29 only we use a condom first an then we ran out so we used the pull out method hours later. The dec.28 being the last day of my 5 day period which started on december 24 2018.I had sex Jan. 6th, 7th, 8th an 12 with guy#2. According to my pregnancy app. I ovaulted the 6th of Jan. Well come around Jan. 21 my period was due to start as my cycle is 29days. I took a test on Jan 24 and I was pregnant. My due date is october 4 by ultrasound for my period its october 1st but most due date calculator gives me September 30. I did my first ultrasound at 6week an 5days on Feb 13 by period it says 7weeks an 3days. I was wondering who the farther could be?

The only sure way to know for sure is to do a DNA test. It is likely that guy 2 is the bio father, but since you have doubts, you owe it to yourself, both men and the baby to find out for sure who the father is.
The miscarriage prior should have no effect on conception date after 2 regular cycles.
Were you trying to get pregnant? Just curious because of the recent miscarriage and concerns over your conception date/paternity. Were you not using birth control? I honestly am not trying to be rude or nosey, it just makes me curious if you planned to get pregnant?

Thanks but I think I stated that a dna test was reccomended an I do plan on doing that but while I wait till my child is born but for now a piece of mind is all I'm looking for. The end of your statement I find it judgmental but thats your 2 cent. We all make mistakes and no I didn't plan on getting pregnant it happen an I dont believe in abortions so Im dealing with it. Plus I'm still waiting on the experts who run this blog to answer. So thanks again for your input.
I apologize if you felt my question was judgemental. It wasn’t meant to be. I wish you and the baby well.
Thanks...

Hi, Kimmy,

I just answered you on the other thread where you posted, and here is what I said.

Your best info is not that from your app (the assumptions on which apps are based come from the average woman's average cycle) and not from the measurement from your last period (because women can ovulate almost any time in their menstrual month), but your first ultrasound is golden. You had the ultrasound on just about the perfect day to be spot-on when figuring the date of conception, and it counts back (from your October 4 due date) to January 11 with a margin for error of only about 1 day.  You're right that everything points to guy #2.

In your shoes, I'd assume all through the pregnancy that guy #2 is the dad. Then I'd do a DNA test after the baby is born, not so much because the data is questionable but just to put the whole issue to rest forever.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Annie

ps -- Just for future reference, having unprotected sex after a guy ejaculates (even if it's hours later) is actually asking to get pregnant. His urethra was probably still lined with lots of sperm that hitched a ride into your body on his pre-ejaculatory fluid. If you had in fact been ovulating then, you could easily have gotten pregnant. Pulling out is not a method of birth control, it's just a justification, usually used by guys who don't want to have to wear a condom. When you know someone recently ejaculated, put the latex sock on it or don't do it. :)
I know that you recommended me doing a dna test after the baby is born but another part of my question should have been this.
I had a miscarriage in october would that affect my cycle in anyway where as to me ovulating early or should I just trust my ultrasound at that conception was late an that if fact guy B is the father im freaking out because my due date is drawing near.
Just the feeling of guilt or anxiety setting in as it approaches.
I had a regular cycle in November which lasted 5 days and also a regular cycle in December which was 5 days also in december i bleed on CD 30 which I guess would make my period cycle a 30 day instead of CD 29 or maybe my period is irregular I'm not sure now because im stressing out.
Well, women in your position do stress out, but what happened before your November and December periods doesn't affect your November and December periods, each one is its own. Unless a woman's menstrual months are like clockwork month in and month out for years and never vary from 28 days, there is little point in trying to compute things from the first day of a last period, let alone from more than two periods back. As we discussed above, you had the ultrasound on just about the perfect day to be spot-on when figuring the date of conception, and it counts back (from your October 4 due date) to January 11 with a margin for error of only about 1 day.  Try not to take counsel of your fears. (You will just keep asking and keep stressing if you pay any attention to them.) Everything points to guy #2, and you'll also have your DNA test soon enough.
Thank you very much and I'll try not to stress or to give into my fears as ill do the dna test once my baby is here so my mind will be at ease...
I had my baby 2 weeks before her due date which was Oct 4th and got her tested. It turns out that guy #2 (who I suspected all along is and was the father) did a dna after the baby was born and I'm happy with the results....
I’m glad everything worked out for you!  :)
I'm very thankful it did and for a second I thought I would go crazy but I'm happy it all worked out....Thanks again
