The shooting pains don't seem to be getting better. What could have happened?

A couple of weeks ago, i was put int a choke hold type deal. He was above me but I front and was swueezing my neck to the left very hard that it popped about 6 times, my vision started to get blurry and I lost control of my bladder.. for a few days after I could not turn my head either way, I couldn't out pressure on my left hand to push myself up from a sitting position without pain shooting up to the neck. The base of my neck hurt and the left side was swollen to the touch. Here a few weeks later, I am able to turn my head but not all the way like normal like if I was to look behind me I'd have to turn my body as well. I get random pains in my neck and a shooting stabbing pain going from my neck is through my skull, seems to be when I am very stressed . I can't lau down like normal until I find a  comfortable position for my neck, otherwise, there are little shooting pains like electricity until I find the correct position. When I feel the crown of my head, it almost feels as if the left side of my skill is poking up a little more than the roght side.  The shooting pains don't seem to be getting better. What could have happened?

Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums.  We are really sorry this happened to you and agree with the others that you should see a doctor as soon as you can.  This type of situation typically would result in a musculoskeletal issue but perhaps you have damaged a disc or nerve in your neck. It usually would occur under the disc and you do have symptoms of a herniation of the disc. https://www.webmd.com/pain-management/what-is-a-herniated-cervical-disk#1.

Please see your doctor and let us know how you are doing.

You need to go to the ER or at least see a doctor asap. sounds like you could have anything from pinched nerves to herniated discs, to a broken neck. I dont mean to freak you out, but this isnt something to mess around with. it could easily get much worse without proper treatment.

I am no expert, but with the symptoms you are describing you need to go the the ER.  I think you  condition is beyond what can be answered in an online forum.
