What could be the cause of these brown discolorations on the base of my penis?

Over the past 26 months I’ve noticed a series of brownish discolorations appear on the shaft of my penis. Over time more have come in, and they are not uniform in shape. They do not itch, hurt or blister. They are just there and very unattractive. They also seem to appear after I had gained a lot of weight and a good amount of fat around my pubic area. Could this be friction from my penis skin going in and out (turtle effect) or melanosis, or something else. By the way, I’ve been in a monogamous relationship for 13 years. Thanks!

I don’t know what this is, but I suspect it’s not anything too serious. One question - how old are you? For some of us, just getting older can cause a lot of brownish spots to appear on various parts of the body, altho I can’t say for sure whether that could include the penis. I would suggest seeing your regular Dr 1st, then possibly either a Urologist or Dermatologist, possibly both. Please check back here & let us know if you find out what this is - I’d like to know myself & Im sure others who may have a similar issue would like to know as well...
