Hello there can I ask for some advice on needle stick possibility
I do admit I’ve been very irrational fears over this but last weekend I was at water park when my finger started stinging I looked at it and there was like graze cut at top of my middle finger were top layer of my skin had come off it was red which looked like blood but it looked like it under the skin and it’ wasn’t bleeding were I required bandaid only way I can describe like graze with little hole in middle
I do apologise if this sounds very irrational but my fears have grown that if someone had pricked me with used needle that’s where this cut is from would I know if I had been cut with needle? Would what I have said make me at risk? Like how deep would cut need to be to be risk. Thank you again

Those inexperienced helpline agents mostly read out scripts from their computer. I wouldn't be much worried about what they have to say.

It's for you to figure, how would it occur. Logically, none of us can tell you that.
What we can certainly tell you is that you had no risk. Even if you were pricked, there can be no risk associated, as it is not equivalent to getting injected in to your viens with infected fluid.

Hi thanks again for you’re reply I trust you’re advice but I asked this question prior to Vancouver helpline they answered something completely different saying it’s high risk and that testing is needed but I stressed enough that I never seen a needle my fears are what making me believe it was needle so now I’m confused and anxious on what I’m suppose to do would you still suggest what you replied about not needing a test because there giving me conflicting answers. When I asked the same question to them describe the cut and mentioned I was worried in case someone purposely tried needle struck me in really confused and more anxious as to what I’d truth please help. I was trusting in your answer but then they said something completely different thank you
If you keep googling for death and asking every help line the same question, then you are bound to find one that says something a little bit different than the other one said. The advice here was correct, therefore it can't change when you ask the same question again. The first step to peace is to quit googling cold turkey, otherwise you will likely waste much of your life being afraid all the time - for no reason.
You ignored Chima advice that it would have hurt, so that you can continue with your theory that you were stuck with a special science fiction needle that doesn't hurt - that is the only reason that you are afraid.

This is clearly an irrational concern with no basis in reality. People don't go around injecting people with needles. Furthermore, being stuck by a needle hurts immediately when it happens so there's no chance that you'd get stuck and not know immediately. If you don't believe me, shove a safety pin in your hand and you'll figure that out.

I understand your point I do but how else would type of cut turn up on my finger out of no were does this soundness like needle stick wound?? Please
Would needle stick that happen straight away be bleeding for definitely it would definitely bleed right away because I noticed no bleeding when I actually noticed the cut
