My semen turns GREEN a day after ejaculating!?

Please can someone tell me...
Is it normal for ejaculated semen to turn green in 24 hours stored in a clean (uncontaminated) glass jar with the lid on it at room temperature?
When I first ejaculate it is the normal transparent cloudy white colour, or thick lumpy white dependng on how often I ejaculate and how quick etc.
However, I'm not sure if I'm just being paranoid and never noticed this before, or if it was the result of having received unprotected oral sex from a girl recently...
As far as I remember, anytime I have ejaculated into a container, regardless of the container, the semen has always started as cloudy white ejaculate (normal) and over the course of hours or days in a container (whether with a lid or open) the semen has always only turned greyish transparent colour.
However, for the first time in my life, and just 2 days after having had a date with a girl who performed unprotected oral sex on me, after ejaculating into a (clean) glass, just hours later I noticed the colour of the semen was a yellowish green. Then after about 40 hours it was very green with a tint of yellow.
I found this very alarming, so I went and goot a full STI and blood test, swab of the penis, and urine sample etc.
The way the free clinic operate is - if you don't get a call back then you're ok. However my phone is not always on and I may have missed a call, I'll have to phone early in the morning to check that.
I have another appointment to repeat the tests soon - as a follow up a month later.
Since then, I ejaculated into a perfectly clean empty glass jar with a lid and put the lid on it, stored it in room temperature and the next day it was VERY green. I am sure my semen was not discoloured before.
I have not changed anything in my diet recently. I don't smoke. I don't drink. I don't take drugs. I exercise. I don't eat meat. I only eat fish and am otherwise a vegan.
Please let me know more about this. I have read on some sites that semen colours is different from person to person and at times the same persons ejaculate can differ in colour, then on other sites I've read this is a sign of catching Gonorrhea.
I'm quite worried about this and I don't want to just accept having green-yellow semen all of a sudden. I'd also like to know this can be reversed back to healthy cloudy white ejaculate?
Please help me understand this. Thanks

So my first question is - why are you saving your semen in a jar?

When people talk about discolored semen, they are referring to it as it is expelled from your body - not the next day as it sits in a jar, exposed to air and whatever is floating in the air, air temps, humidity, bacteria in the jar, etc.

If your semen is healthy when it comes out of your body - white/cloudy - then it's fine.

Whatever your reason for keeping your semen in a jar, it shouldn't be health reasons, or to diagnose yourself with anything.

If you got tested within 3-5 days after your possible exposure, those tests are conclusive. Never trust a "we'll call you" system. I've seen too many results get lost, sit in a mess on someone's desk, etc. Always call them to confirm, no matter what they say.

Good advice, auntiejessi. However. I personally would be worried if semen turned green - that certainly doesn’t sound normal. I’ve never ‘saved’ it in a jar myself, tho I’ve heard of guys doing it & then later using it as kind of a ‘lube’ for their next masturbation session. I’ve seen ejaculated semen that later turned kind of watery & clear, or maybe a grayish clear as EM describes. I would definitely be concerned there might be something wrong. EM, do stay on top of this & keep calling & testing until you get an answer. If you don’t get an answer, maybe see a Urologist...
A clean jar is NOT a sterile environment.  There is a good chance for bacterial build-up in any fluids not stored in a vacuum or sterile conditions.  I would absolutely not be concerned about any changes in a specimen not stored in laboratory conditions - there is no control over the environment. Home medical experiments are not advisable.
I am not "saving" my semen in a jar haha. I just ejaculate into a jar because I produce quite a lot and a tissue would not catch it and don't want semen splashes on my carpet. I put the lid on the jar after and usually because I only masturbate before bed (not every night, but about one to twice a week, sometimes only once every 2 weeks). The lid on the jar stops my room smelling like semen and I usually dump it down the toilet the next day. The girl I had sex with, she is Croatian, I didn't know her much at all, just met her socially at a bar (I never go to bars, was just passing and talked to friends) and ended up exchanging numbers and a few days later had a date that quickly led to her bedroom. I had the feeling she was somewhat desperate and the sex was not great because she didn't make me feel relaxed. This is just to make a point that I'm unsure of the cleanliness of this woman...
After sex her room smelled like sex, very potent thick smell of ***** in the air. I know my ex partners did not have this potent smell. This smell put me off seeing a previous date again too. So here was this smell again, maybe it's just a common ***** smell, I don't know, or maybe I keep meeting skanks.
She told me about her rape experience when younger (some nice light conversation for a first date) and interestingly previous women I've dated have mentioned they were raped also. I always find this suspicious because maybe they have an STI and that is how they excuse it... - like a story they got raped in case I acuse them of giving me an STI they can say they didn't know and it's not their fault etc... I don't know. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. Anyway, I had to remove and replace condoms because of the awkwardness. She then performed oral sex on me without a condom on, but beforfe hand she applied some flavoured durex **** lube... never has a woman used that when going to blow me. But I assure you I am a very clean smelling and healthy person -- or at least was before this encouter... She mostly rubbed it on my foreskin however and pubic area and was pulling the foreskin toward her face - basically the girl didn't know how to suck dk... which I personally find endearing unless intentionally being done bad to avoid doing it. We did a lot of deep passionate kissing too and I think I experienced a slight tingling burning sensation in my throat the next day and maybe some yellow blotchy areas at the back of my throat.I also mention this to the clinic and they swabbed my throat too.
So I'm looking at this semen in my jar now and it literally looks like a watered down version of the predators blood! How in the hell is this possible??? I mean, the jar is glass, was clean as a whistle, and it's a small jar so not much air in it either.
Yes I will definitely call the clinic to check and ask for the results, but currently have no phone credit...
Keep us updated on whatever is found. I’ve never heard of this & am curious to know what it could be...
Looks like I'll just ask on my follow up appointment next week, as I didn't get a chance to top my phone up...
I can't speak to the jar stuff - it's not ever been studied, I'm sure.

However, I can speak to the STI stuff.

First, in the US and other developed countries - 1 in 4 women have been sexually assaulted. In underdeveloped countries, it's probably higher. Women don't make that up to "excuse" STIs.

STIs are no one's fault. (Sorry, you're going to get a stigma lecture you didn't ask for - well, you kinda did.) You wouldn't blame someone for having strep throat or a cold, so why do we need to assign fault for STIs? The only thing different is the mode of transmission. You don't seem to view sex as dirty, so why are STIs dirty, or something that needs excuses or blame? Sex education is woefully lacking in most parts of the world, as is access to condoms in some.

The World Health Organization (WHO) just released results of a study that showed that STI rates are climbing in all parts of the world. It's your responsibility to protect yourself - no one else's.

In any case, you need to follow up for sure. You obviously have questions and concerns, and those need to be addressed.

Also, any woman has the right to "avoid" giving oral sex to you at any time she wants to. Make sure you respect that, whether you find her endearing or not. You aren't entitled to it.
