Is bleeding from the vulva 9 days after being spayed normal?
My 8 yr old dog was spayed 9 days ago and been doing great until tonight. She ran down the hallway and now has a bloody discharge coming from her vulva area. What should I do?
Hello~You probably should take her back to her vet, she may have caused her incision to open a wee bit when she ran; usually they have the owner watch the dog and keep them from any strenuous activity for about 2 weeks, and even after that, it is best to monitor them until you get an "all clear" from the veterinarian.
