I've always had some floaters and have been extremely nearsighted since I was a child (I'm 38 now). About a year and a half ago I had Lasik - I have 20/20 vision now, but ever since the surgery I have a LOT more floaters and flashes. I had my eyes checked last summer and all looked good.
The issue I'm worried about currently is that when my eyes are adjusting to bright light (like when I go outside) I see flashes when blinking. It's like the spots you see after looking at a bright light (or a camera flash), only I haven't looked directly at a bright light. Usually it's just one eye (sometimes the left eye and sometimes the right). After a few minutes of being outside the flashes go away. I'm not sure if this is just my eyes adjusting to the light? This has been going on for a few months now, but for the last few days it has been constant in my right eye every time I go outside. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I have my normal annual exam in a week and will be sure to ask about it then.
