Could this be initial outbreak?

About 5 days after sex with my partner, I started feeling run down and developed a low grade fever (99-100). I’ve been tired, not feeling good (like I was on the verge of getting sick), some vaginal discharge, mild discomfort in my pelvic area, and mild burning when urinating for about 3 weeks. A week ago I went to the doctor suspecting I had a UTI, but they found nothing. I got an at home UTI test today which shows leukocytes but no nitrites. I just had three painful bumps appear (they are not clustered together). I shave, so it’s possible they are ingrown hairs, but they don’t seem like it. The bumps hurt/burn, even when lying down, sitting, walking.

I ordered my own igg blood test, but I don’t have the results yet. This would only be about 3 weeks post exposure, could it show anything? In the meantime, does this sound like it could be an initial herpes outbreak?

I am about to leave the country for vacation (with my partner), and the doctor can’t see me until I get back, so I appreciate your input. Any advice?

Also, I suspect my partner may have had an initial outbreak around the time we had intercourse. He had a fever/flu symptoms shortly before me, and I know he was tested for STDs recently. It was a urine test so it wouldn’t have included HSV. I don’t know if he had any other symptoms, but I suspect he did since something prompted him to go to a clinic for testing.

I am included a link to a pic as a comment.

Thank you!

I'm not a doctor, but I do have herpes.

That doesn't look like herpes to me, but can you get into an urgent care or anything before you leave? If they are infected hair follicles, you may need an antibiotic cream, or an oral antibiotic, and you should get this taken care of before you leave.

If your partner is sick, he should also be checked before you leave.

Your IgG may show positive if it's herpes (and again, it doesn't look like it) - mine did at 2 weeks, but it can take as long as 4 months. (Most will by 6 weeks.)

You and your partner should avoid genital to genital contact, and certainly oral to genital contact, until you figure out what this is.

Oh and I say that last part because you could be passing something back and forth.
Thank you; I appreciate you taking the time to take a look and respond!
