Why am I getting chest pain that coincides with my heartbeat when standing up?

I have noticed recently that when standing up from a sitting position sometimes I'll feel a throbbing pain in my chest for 5-6 seconds that seems to coincide exactly with the beat of my heart. It isn't palpitating when this is happening as far as I can tell. I have had an echocardiogram and resting EKG done recently, both of which came out normal so I'm wondering what this could possibly be.

Some information about me
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Activity level: high (exercise 6 days a week)

Hello and welcome to the forum. We're sorry you are having this issue.  If you are having chest pain, we do recommend that you are seen by a health care professional as soon as possible. Ruling out any serious cardiac issue is the first thing to do.  However, you are very young and sound physically fit so would not think this would be the case.  None the less, you need to be evaluated by a doctor.

** if you have chest pain accompanied by shortness of breath, nausea, lightheadedness or break out into a cold sweat, seek immediate medical attention.

Take a look at this article. https://www.healthline.com/health/causes-of-chest-pain#mental-healthrelated

Almost all chest pain issues caused by the heart are associated with shortness of breath. That's not to say there won't every be an exception.  You do not have shortness of breath?  There are also respiratory causes, digestive causes and psychological causes.

Again, it is best to see your doctor for further evaluation.  Let us know what they say.
