I have a chronic bad breath because of hyperacidity

I have a bad breath. So that I go to my dentist and clear the plague and remove the decaying tooth. Because of bad breath, my nose allergy activated because the smell get to the back of my nose. But it keeps coming back, the bad breath and my nose allergy. Mostly, my nose allergy activated because of perfume, dust, stinky smells, and morning fog. I got check my nose to an ENT and he cleared my nose and make me use a nasal spray steroid. It was gone for a while but it come back and still the same. I thought that i have fungi in it coz my nasal spray on the tip of it which the part where you insert it to your nose has grow some fungi. But thats not it, I think. Because I got acid reflux that i havent really paid any attention but when i eat foods with tomato, my nasal allergy activate but i only smell a certain smell which is foreign but not so smelly. This smell also smell by other people around me from my nose. Im not sure if I have H.Pylori or ulcers or SIBO or any chronic digestive probs. But I got ultrasound my whole abdomen it says its normal.
My questions are "What can I do to stop this? ", "What is first I have to do to clarify my condition with minimal cost?".

When was the last time you went to the doctor?
2019, June.
Well, since you have an ongoing problem with new symptoms, it would be best to see your doctor again.  Hopefully you have found a way to easily document the ongoing situation.  I think keeping a calendar and writing each day what is going on helps or if you have some type of tracker.  You could use the journals here at medhelp on your home page, mark private too.  Then you can print out. But just an ongoing record will be really helpful. Then you can make a concise report for yourself saying this started X (date) and it happens this many times a week, etc.
Thank you ♥️

Finally someone has brought this up...i suffer from same exact thing! For years ive been battling bad breath...its gotten in my social life... I have gastritis cuz of h pylori too...i been to many drs with this issue but they keep tossing me around to each other & dont have any answer for me....

but like some of u here said i really think its related to gerd & h pylori. Cuz i realised my bad breath is chronic but got worse b4 i got worsening stomach/esophagus symptoms...

i brush daily & floss weekly. several dentists said it wasn't related...then my ent said same thing even though i got chronic sinusitis...so that left my GI woes...but even my gastro dr brushed it off!! But i knew it must be the problem & now im convinced!

I hope you can return to talk about this.  Have you ever heard of SIBO as well?

Sorry to keep you waiting. Im taking a sometime off to stabilize my mental being about this condition.

I have read about SIBO in the internet. The only thing I want for now is guidance for how to approach to a doctor about specifics of my condition. I am alone in this fight. I hope you could help me. Thank you for your time.

I feel for you!  So, what do you do to treat acid reflux? There are a variety of over the counter medications you can try.  Do you do anything like that?  I also suggest that you start a probiotic.  These can be supplements that you buy or the smoothie you drink daily bought from a dairy aisle at the grocery (well, here in the US you can).  This helps overall digestive health and balancing bacteria.  Lastly, I have a son who has allergy problems. Sometimes his breath is atrocious.   And brushing, mouth wash doesn't fix it. Not sure why but he takes Mucinex which helps thin his mucus for about two nights and the smell is gone.  I have a theory that his sinuses get clogged and it causes his breath to smell.  Most doctors will tell you that things like sinusitis have a noticeable odor to them (in terms of patients breath). Could anything like that be tried as well?

Thank you, Specialmom. I am please that you respond. Here in the Philippines, we have Yakult probiotics which is something like a smoothie. I drink it for sometime but the smells still lingers and i have to pooped something in watery state. I think that I may have lactose intolerance for it is the same with other milk products but sometimes it is not. So Im not very sure how to make a conclusion to milk products but to avoid it.
But I want to try the oral probiotics if I have some money to buy it.

For the mucus problem, I've already visited an ENT and he cleaned my nose but the smell still there especially when I have acid reflux. Additionally, the smell is something like a bad breath when there is no acid reflux and when with acid reflux, it smells like a decaying fish.

Lastly, I didnt pursue my appointment to my gastro doctor because Im disappointed that she didnt know the relation about smelly nose and my hyperacidic stomach.
