Severe Rashes in groin area and skin looking like flakes

Age : 20

Sex : male

Race : Indian

Height/weight : 5'7''/60 kg

Meds using rn : clotrimazole lotion

Duration of complaint : a month

I saw these rashes developing under my groin area a month back and it has grown. I could see skin getting red then dry and it would eventually come out. I tried to look for it online and thought it to be fungal infection. I started using an over-the-counter clotrimazole cream. It had stopped growing was not itchy after that but since last two/three days it has started to itch again. Also skin looks much more flakes like.

Hello and welcome to the forum.  Sorry you have this situation.  Is having it looked at by a doctor something you can do?  That would really be best.  When it began growing and itching again, were you still using the  cream? Here are some other ideas of what could be going on. https://www.healthline.com/health/mens-health/dry-skin-on-penis  This patch could be a number of relatively benign things that can be treated.  Simple things like changing the type of soap you use during bathing to having eczema are discussed.  Make sure you aren't using any harsh soaps or cleaners.  Again, it would be best to have this looked at for proper diagnosis and treatment.
