Hi Trace2002 , many Drs that have experience wiith Chiari will encourage those of us with Chiari to not bend our necks so that our chin comes down to our chest as it can cause a CSF obstruxtion due to the issues we have going on....the herniation constricts CSF flow and bending makes that area tighter....so it can cause a senstion of falling  and could even possibly lead to a drop attack....similar to passing out.
My Drs even tld me  when using a computer to raise the screen so it was eye level so I was not looking down...same with reading a book etc....lift to eye level to avoid looking down.

Thank you. This happens everyday to me. Especially while looking at my phone.
It's because the area where the CSF needs to flow is constricted more.....as I said I was told to not bend my head like that and to read at eye level.....not always easy I know.
