Muscle Weakness

Hello everyone, for the past 8 years or so I have been having muscle strength issues and it's getting worse and affecting more parts of my body.
Here are some of those issues. Having issues with arm strength, and hand strength. It's hard to hold my arms out or carry heavy items. My hands are really bad, I have a hard time grasping things and typing. All of which includes pain. Now my jaw is having a hard time opening and my tongue is having movement issues with pain. My legs are starting to have issues too.
My muscles through out my entire body feels painful and sore. I have a general weakness feeling.
My Doctor just brushes it off, and says it's just inflammation due to my obesity. I also have joint pain too, in my arms and hands mostly. Does anyone know what could be going?
Age: 33   Male
Meds:  Paroxetine, blood pressure meds
I have been taking Paroxetine for about 10 years, could this be a cause?

Hello~I am sorry you are having these issues. If it were me, I would see any doctor, it sounds like your issues could be due possibly to MS or a blood sugar disorder. The doctor should definitely take tests to rule these out (and other issues as well) before he says it is "just" inflammation.

As to the drugs you are taking causing the issues, I really don't think so, to ease your mind, you might want to ask your pharmacist, they sometimes know more about the drugs than the doctor as they work with them constantly.
