I was only told I had grade 3. No one told me a stage. How can I find that out

I was diagnosed with breast ductal invasive carcinoma at grade 3.   I had a lumpectomy done and I’m going to start chemo next week.
Why can’t anyone tell me the stage?

A cancer's grade describes how abnormal cancer cells look under a microscope when compared to normal cells. In general, a lower grade indicates a slower-growing cancer and a higher grade indicates a faster-growing one.

A cancer’s stage explains how large the primary tumor is and how far the cancer has spread in the patient’s body via lymph nodes and distant metastases.

You can ask your oncologist for the stage of your breast cancer.
