Past Pneumonia Leads to Other Respiratory Disorders?

I currently have difficult breathing, sleep apnea, and potentially asthma. Can this be traced back to or brought on by a previous lung infection diagnosed as pneumonia?

It can be depending on the extent of damage from pneumonia but it would be astham it would probably be an intersitial lung disease or possibly copd.

Complications of pneumonia include pleural effusion, empyema, abscess, bacteremia, and/or sepsis. Pneumonia may leave residual atelectasis, scarring, pneumatocele, and/or cavity. Pneumonia can exacerbate chronic conditions such as emphysema, asthma, or congestive heart failure.
