Past Pneumonia Leads to Other Respiratory Disorders?

I currently have difficult breathing, sleep apnea, and potentially asthma. Can this be traced back to or brought on by a previous lung infection diagnosed as pneumonia?

We are wondering how you are doing now.  Recovering from respiratory illnesses such as pneumonia can be different for people.  Some recover in a week and others can take a month or more.  https://www.lung.org/lung-health-and-diseases/lung-disease-lookup/pneumonia/treatment-and-recovery.html Here's another article to consider in your care. https://www.drugs.com/cg/pneumonia-aftercare-instructions.html

Complications of pneumonia include pleural effusion, empyema, abscess, bacteremia, and/or sepsis. Pneumonia may leave residual atelectasis, scarring, pneumatocele, and/or cavity. Pneumonia can exacerbate chronic conditions such as emphysema, asthma, or congestive heart failure.
