Thank you xitjim.  I am also Editor of Missouri Medicine medical journal. We just came out with an emergency COVID-19 issue. It is open access. Several articles that should be of interest to many people around the world.   LINK  http://www.omagdigital.com/publication/?i=656017&pre=1
Thanks for that link.  I encourage others reading this to check out the articles.  Very informative.  Jim

I have a question. I've had eye pain for weeks, mostly deep in the socket closer to the bridge of my nose. Sudafed seems to help somewhat. I notice the same eye is noisy when I rub it sounds squeaky (don't know if that's related.) No visual disturbances, no redness, no discharge just a dull achy pain. I had another eye doctors appointment but it was cancelled. I had a eye check up earlier in the month and everything worked out fine. Not understanding this pain what can I do for it?

I forgot it also has a pulling sensation as well, like a tightness(eye fatigue). It's hard to explain. I've never had anything like this. I had a brain MRI a week ago and it didn't pick up anything with my sinuses.
Rubbing the eye is never a good thing. That being said when the eye is rubbed the tear sac is compressed as well as the soft, fatty tissues behind the eye which can make a sound and create vibrations some people can  feel.  Sudafed a decongestant would not likely help any eye pain but could be very effective for nasal/sinus problems.  I'm assuming that you have seen an ophthalmologist somewhere along the way.  The most common causes of pain around the eye when the eye/lids/socket  are normal: sinus problems, dental problems, stress/anxiety, facial nerve pain e.g. trigeminal neuralgia.  Given you have had for weeks and don't have true emergency :   sudden loss of vision, severe pain, redness, sensitivity to light, flashes, loss of peripheral vision,   like the rest of us you will likely need to wait till the world is back to normal. Some offices are offering telephone/telemedicine services.
