That doesn't sound right that they acted like this was at all normal.  I would most definitely go BACK to the doctor and I'd even consider hitting a nursing home.  Sadly, The VA system in our country is lacking according to its reputation.  Go to a regular hospital.  Here's a whole article on it. https://www.healthline.com/health/mens-health/bleeding-from-penis  Sincerely, go get checked out again.

WOW - I have no idea what’s causing this, but from your description this sounds like it could definitely be smthg fairly serious. I’m rather shocked the Dr’s sent you home w/ out any treatment or at least a follow-up appointment to run some tests.

First, I think you & the Dr’s would want to know where this blood is originating - in the bladder, the urethra, prostate, etc. If it’s bright red blood, that actually may be a little less serious in that it indicates it’s coming from somewhere near the end of the genito-urinary system, rather than farther ‘up’. But I would think they’d wanna do a cystoscopy, where they use a flexible ‘scope’ to look inside the bladder for the source of bleeding.

Try to find a Dr. - In or outside the VA - willing to do some investigation. This situation needs to be addressed ASAP - it may turn out to be smthg not too serious, but I’m sure you want to know what’s going on! Good luck & let us know what’s found...
