Should a Dr send you home with a pulmonary embolism?

She's had shortness of breath, chest and back pain and coughing for 3 days.

Gosh, I wouldn't think so.  You've reached back out to them?  What is their response?  https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/pulmonary-embolism/symptoms-causes/syc-20354647  In times of covid, you'd also want to make sure the shortness of breath and coughing are not the virus.  But pulmonary embolisms can be fatal.  Reach out to your doctor immediately if you have not!  Let me know what happens and how she is!!
