signal change on an MRI
My GP wants to check I dont have MS and sent me for an MRI.
The report says:
There are several small signal changes in the white matter, mainly in frontal lobe.
What is meant by 'signal change' Is this a normal finding on an MRI. My appt with my neuro isnt for another 2 months and im worrying. I have weakness in both arm and leg on the left side. feel my balance is ok yet have fallen over several times in the last 6 months resulting on a torn ligament which now needs surgery.

Breath - you need to read the totality of your MRI and not just the bit that mentions something, which without more information could be something as common as the tiny micro vascular related.
IF your MRI report doesn't mention anything else these findings are likely nothing for you to be worrying about, so try not to focus on it being something when it honestly might be nothing."
The issues you've been experiencing are not typically associated with the frontal lobe, did you also have a spinal MRI to look for structural spinal issues?
