Why is it that Imodium had it's main ingredient reduced 50% ?

The new imodium has only 1mg of loperamide. It had 2mg until recently?

Hello and thanks for the question.  That's a good one.  I am not fully sure but do know that the FDA has been trying to crack down on abuse of immodium for a while and got serious about it in 2018. They very well may be requiring a less dosage in the current product.  This is their current website with products availalbe and strengths.  https://www.imodium.com/anti-diarrhea-medicine/how-imodium-works  It looks like the 2mg is still available.

Thank you for the link. My local pharmacy doesn't carry the 2mg.
