What can cause gurgling noise in my mother's throat and she throws up?

My mother has been having these gurgling noises coming from her throat.  When she is eating this happens also and when it does she begins to throw up immediately.  Most of the time she has only gotten down a few bites.  If it starts when she is not eating and she throws up it sounds like hot foaming stuff she throws up.  Can you please let me know if you have any ideas, please!

This sounds very much like acid reflux!  Stomach acid seeps up the esophagus. The gurgling noise is regurgitated food or acid.  The throw up is likely the same.  Has she seen her doctor?  That would be a good idea.  I had horrible acid reflux.  I found that an over the counter acid reducer really helped me.  I also found that I got MUCH better when I lost weight.  Is your mom at all over weight? Does she smoke?  These contribute.  And then I monitored my diet.  Acidic food didn't work for me later in the day.  Soda never works.  coffee is iffy.  One thing to note, is that there is also something just like gerd but they distinguish as being higher.  Called Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR).  Here is information on LPR.  https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/15024-laryngopharyngeal-reflux-lpr  Let me know what you think.
