no period for 7 months and now back to monthly?! Menopause

Annoying.  I had a big long time frame of no period.  I'm 'of age' and thought I was done . . .  then all of a sudden, it started again and is now back to the monthly cycle.  Dang it. Is this unusual?

Hi, unfortunately, this is very common. A lady can go for almost a year without a period, then bang, there it is again, this can go on for a few years before you completely go through menopause, that is why many women end up getting pregnant during that time, they think they are thru with that part of their life, so, they stop contraception, then all of sudden they find they are pregnant.

Grrrrr.  Well, pregnancy would be funny at my age.  lol  I am no spring chicken.  I'm right around the age my sister was completely done.  I've been eating everything sweet I can get my hands on and can't sleep, two sure signs my monthly visitor is on her way again.

Hey specialmom. It doesn't seem to be all that unusual. Sorry you have to start counting all over again. :(
