Sunday Weigh in April 25, 2021

Good morning... well, sorry I'm running late again today - that seems to be the story of my life these days.  Anyway, it's been a dark rainy day, so far and I haven't been inclined to do a whole lot.

This week has been pretty quiet again, which I'm beginning to like.  I only had one doctor's appointment and that was my urologist.  The appointment went fine, but he did remind that it was time to recheck the adenomas on my adrenal glands.  I have an appointment for a CT scan in early May for that.

Anyway, there's just not a lot going on, but it seems like I'm busy all the time.  I spent all day yesterday in a calligraphy class.  That was kind of fun, even if I'm not very good at it. There will be another class next Saturday with the same instructor and I expect that to be equally fun.

With my neighbor gone for the summer, I haven't been doing a lot of walking, but will begin my evening walks again, soon.

I am still trying to watch what/how much I eat and it looks like I haven't done a very good job because I gained 0.8 lb over the week.  Of course, with me, that could be fluid build up, digestive issues or plain old fat.  :-)  Whatever the 0.8 lb is from means I need to get serious again.

So - that's my story.  How was your week?  I hope you were able to meet/exceed whatever goals you set for yourself and look forward to hearing about them.

~~Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week~~

I think I will weigh tomorrow morning; we had an unusually huge meal last night that is guaranteed to cause me to retain water (schnitzel and potatoes), and then I had a big cup of coffee this morning before realizing it was Sunday. Watch this space! If I'm up in weight tomorrow it might be no surprise, but at least I won't have puffiness from the Saturday dinner.

I told my husband that I was going to look into a small strength-training style of gym that I've noticed, and he got really excited and said he would find us an "ab lab" at a different gym he likes, and sign us both up. That's very sweet, but the last person I'd like to do an exercise class with is my husband ... he's very strong, exercises all the time, and I don't. I'm going to be a mushy wuss for a long time before I build up any strength. It would be much easier to look this lame in front of a bunch of strangers who don't care anything about me, than a family member.

We're readying for school "in person" here, the first time in more than a year. They won't allow parents to do more than toss the kid out of the car, no lingering around or grouping up and chatting is allowed by either parent or child. I hope they will do more than just have the kid open his computer in a classroom and do the online work along with kids at home, (though it's hard to imagine what else they're going to do because some kids have opted to be at home). This is the tail end of a very difficult time, next school year they will offer an all-online option and an all-live option, and no hybrid model where sometimes you're in school and sometimes online, like now. I can hardly wait for them to approve vaccines for kids 12 and up.

I'll post tomorrow and tell how my weight shook out in the end, good or bad. :-)

Well, this morning I'm exactly matching where I was last week. Since that was a number I was glad about, I'm glad again. At least the huge dinner didn't have a lasting effect. :-)
