Sunday Weigh In May 9, 2021

Happy Mother's Day to all the mother figures out there.  I hope you're all having a wonderful day.  I'm sorry I'm so late posting today... I hit the floor running this morning, with cleaning and cooking for company and haven't really stopped until now.  The company has left and it's time to relax for a while.

It's been another quiet week for me.  I've worked mostly on calligraphy things - mostly cards, envelopes, etc.  Some have turned out quite well, others have ended up in the "practice" bin and still others have gone straight to the trash!!  :-)

I'm still trying to watch the amount I eat, as well as get some exercise every day.  The swelling has finally gone down some in my feet/legs from our trip to Las Vegas, but, typically by the end of each day, they're swollen again - thankfully, not as much as they were when we arrived back home.

I had to have a CT scan last week on my adrenal glands.  I've had bilateral adenomas for several years and my urologist has been keeping a eye on them.  He ordered the CT because I've been having a pain in my abdomen, approximately where the left adrenal gland would be.  They found nothing with the CT scan, so I guess I'll not worry about it.

Anyway, I've managed to lose 1.2 lbs since last week, so I'm okay with that, though I'd have liked for it to be a lot more.  At least it's going in the right direction. Now if I can just keep it going right...

So, how about your week?  Were you able to reach the goal(s) you set for yourself?

~~Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week~~

** Stay safe and wash your hands**

Will weigh in tomorrow -- I had a Mother's Day breakfast of croissant and coffee brought to me by my son, and ate it before thinking of weighing. It was the biggest croissant I've ever seen, too. Since my weight changes have been in the tenths of a pound lately and I suspect I'm up a little, I didn't want to add a half pound of coffee and croissant and then get on the scale. lol

Mother's Day was peaceful here. In the afternoon, my husband ran me across town to see my own mother, which was fun. We took her some irises, and husband took my stepdad for a (very fast) drive in his new electric car. Stepdad compared it to a rocket... I think it was the highlight of *his* Mother's Day, having had to suffer through a brunch with most of Mom's kids and a visit from us. (Who invented this holiday anyway?)

I did get the taxes done last week, a big load off for me (I simply hate tax time), but haven't gotten so much on the closet cleaning. I think the new week will bring new resolve, though.

Will post the news, good or bad, about my weight in the morning. Have a great week!

... And, it's bad news. Up 1.2 lbs. since last week. This is no surprise; last week I bought some sweet snacks for my son that are also a favorite of mine. Since I'm not proof against eating them if they are in the house, I really need to adjust when I'm shopping. Refraining from eating sweets is all in the grocery aisle. - Sigh -
