Retinal redetachment

Sir what are symptoms of retinal redetachment?.   I am already seeing flashes and dark shadow after surgery last yr in October!

you need to see an ophthalmologist ASAP as sudden onset of floaters, flashes of light and loss of peripheral vison are all warning signs

But sir these symptoms are seen after surgery itself. In month of feb my doctor cleared me and said breaks are well settled on buckle
Things change and the retina can re-detach.  Useful information can only come from your surgeon.
I would suggest a  call to the surgeon to see if you should be looked at.   Anytime something "new" appears since last exam it warrants a office visit.  After each of my RD's, a year apart, I was hyper aware of anything going on.  My surgeon was called many times and he was fine with it.  They expect this.  After all I have been through I am now on 2 year followup with surgeon, keeping semi annual visits with my regular Opthalmologist to just get a look see and watching my pressures.  If anything new comes up, I would call.  Good Luck.  Jim
