Abdominal Pain

I had an ablution Surgery 10 years ago due to heavy periods
Now I’m in such pain once a month I’m basically overdosing on morphine the pain runs down my front thighs and up my back into my abdomen.. crying and rolling on the floor is what Tis has come too . I seen a gynaecologist who did the procedure 10 years ago and she is stumped WhT the pain only started now and not right after the surgery.. she was very mean very rude and dodged all my questions as to where doe it come from .the mri showed liquids on or in My utras area and she said it’s nothing to be concerned about . Is there scar tissue ? Is it blocking the draining?? I asked and she kept saying hysterectomy is my only option.. Can scar tissue if that’s what it is be removed ? I feel like I’m filling up with liquid and it has Nowhere’s to go … A hysterectomy will be my last option. I absolutely don’t want to do one unless this is my only option please please someone help me out.

Ugh! I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. It sounds like Post Ablation Syndrome (PAS) or Post Ablation Tubal Sterilization Syndrome (PATSS). Your chronic pelvic pain is more than likely caused by blood getting trapped behind the scarred / ablated lining or trapped because your cervix is scarred shut (by the ablation). Here are a couple of articles on this:

While hysterectomy should end the pain, it has a whole other set of negative effects especially in the long-term. Do you think you may be near menopause? If so, maybe you can wait it out? If not, I wonder if continuous birth control pills (taking the active pills continuously so you don't have a "period") would stop the pain. I do recall some women posting somewhere that a "cocktail" of supplements helped. I don't recall the ones they used but it seems that vitamins A, D, (maybe E) and magnesium were included but it seems there may have been others.

I hope you can find something to help without resorting to a hysterectomy and its ensuing harms. Here are some articles on hysterectomy - https://www.hormonesmatter.com/?s=hysterectomy.
