That's an interesting question.  Type 1 diabetes needs to be monitored.  Is your child routinely stable with insulin? Instability in the diabetes can create a situation of behavior issues.  Diabetes has a pretty high rate of depression in kids, 15 to 20% according to the Childhood Diabetes Association. https://www.childrensdiabetesfoundation.org/type-1-diabetes-and-mental-health/  Your child was diagnosed with a lifetime disorder and it's a lot to deal with.
