Worried

I have had numbness, weakness in my arms and legs, my doctor sent me to orthopedic which done blood work showing that my nucleated red blood cells and antinuclear antibody test are high. He has referred me to a rheumatologist for further evaluation, but it is going to take around 10 weeks to get that appointment should i be worried?

Hi, your docs are not looking for leukemia or any other cancer. They are instead looking into something like Lupus. That's what a rheumatologist specializes in, and that's what your tests look for. Also that might fit your symptoms. But your symptoms are very general, and so far this does not mean that you actually have Lupus or something similar.
