Sunday Weigh In - March 6, 2022

Good morning.  How is everyone doing this morning?  I hope you've all had a great week.

My week has been pretty quiet and I haven't accomplished a whole lot, but that's okay.  Hopefully, the upcoming week will make up for it.

I think I mentioned that I'll be having eyelid surgery later this month.  I met with the surgeon on Thursday to make the "game plan".  It's going to be more extensive than I'd originally been told and I'll be confined to my recliner for the first week.

Other than meeting with the surgeon, I was able to get a few small things done, outside, though I still have a long way to go yet, to get things ready for summer.  I'm hoping to be able to make a large dent in that work, this week.  We'll see how that goes.

Yesterday, we picked up our "winter neighbors" at the airport.  They weren't able to come back for the whole winter, but will be here for a couple of weeks, so I'll have my walking partner for that long, anyway.

I'd mentioned last week that I thought one of my medications was causing excessive weight gain, so I stopped taking it.  Sure enough, that was, apparently, a good part of the problem, as I've already dropped off 3.7 lbs over the past week.  I'm hoping that with my walking partner back for the next couple of weeks, I might be able to drop a few more pounds - at least, I'm hopeful.

So - that's me.  I'm happy with the way my week progressed.  What about you?  How was your week?  Were you able to reach whatever goal(s) you set for yourself?

~~Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week~~

Glad to hear that your winter neighbors are there, even if it's just for a short time. And also glad dropping that medication helped drop weight! There has to be a different medication for the same condition that doesn't have weight gain as a side effect.

My weight is the same this week as last week. When I weighed in, there was a .2 of a pound difference, meaning no difference. Last night husband and I went out and had prime rib with baked potato, and pie for dessert, so in fact no change in weight means I had a little wiggle room to accommodate such a meal and still weigh as though no big meal had happened.

We rolled special floor-protective paper over the whole thousand feet of newly refinished floors at the new house, and then had the electricians in to fix wiring in the kitchen. Everything we take out (old curtains and poles, ugly light fixtures, the washer and dryer) makes the house look better than it did before, even with the kitchen in disarray. Since many things are out on the porch (fridge, stove, washer, dryer, island and toilet) because of the floors being sanded, we're going to get in there and paint before they are put back. It will be a push, but at least we aren't coping with high ceilings or impossible angles in the kitchen, and there won't be much hassle with dropcloths. And it will be exercise, after all. :-)

Have a great week!
