Sunday Weigh In - May 15, 2022

Good morning - I hope everyone is doing well today.  It's bright and sunny, here, so will probably get pretty hot.

It's been another pretty quiet week, though a bit hectic and nerve-racking.  Husband had a dental appointment on Tuesday to see about getting a tooth repaired.  As always, dental work is expensive, so I'm not sure what he's going to decide to do with it.  It's not hurting him so he might decide not to do anything.

Wednesday, I did a calligraphy project, which really made me nervous, but at the same time, I got spend the afternoon with my daughter.  We went shopping and went for a manicure/pedicure.  Believe it or not, it my first time for a professional mani/pedi, so quite an experience.  I loved it - it was awesome to sit in the chair and have someone pamper me for a couple of hours.

I'm still trying to be careful of what I eat and my doctor said I could take an extra of my fluid pills once in a while, if I need to - I can't believe how much that helps.  I've been able to keep my weight about where it's been for the past several weeks.   I've got to start exercising because I'm pretty confident some of the weight will come off if I do.   Plus, I need to get my muscles back in some kind of condition, plus exercise helps strengthen bones.  I know how important exercise is, I just need to give myself that "boost" to get going with it.

Anyway, for right now, I'm good with staying the same for now, but I do have to get going more, since we're still doing the cruise in August and I want to weight quite a bit less by then.  Incentive!!  :-)

The next couple of days will be busy - tomorrow will be our final calligraphy meeting of the season (we break through the summer), so we'll have installation of officers (I'll be the new Vice President) and our annual luncheon.  It's always a lot of fun.  We have raffles and I've donated a pen for that, so of course, getting it made was also on my agenda for this week.   After the meeting, I have my final follow-up to have the incisions on my eyes checked to make they've healed properly.  They look really good, though I do have a couple of "itchy" spots.

So - how about you?  I hope your week has gone well and you've reached whatever goal(s) you might have set for yourself.

~~Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week~~

My past many days have been devoted to packing and sorting in the garage of our house we're putting up for sale. We got everything out of closets and put those things and some extra small furniture out of the house proper and into the garage. Since then the house has been professionally dealt with by: a cleaning crew, pressure washers for the patio, decks and driveway, window washers, gardeners to tidy up the flower beds, and a guy to clean the carpets. But in the garage, I'm still sorting out boxes, sending piles of things to the Goodwill, and throwing junk away. Probably have two or three more days of this to do. The real-estate agent says it's OK to leave boxes in the garage during showings as long as they're neat. But there is no point in having boxes of junk move with us.

Somewhere in the chaos is our bathroom scale. If I can find it, I'll weigh in the next couple of days and report back. I'm sure it's down. I'm just go- go- going all the time.  Exhausted at night, too.

Have a great week! Will report in if I find my scale :-)
