Now at sounds bloody terrible. Is she still experiencing this?  Does she have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder?  This symptom has a term, formication. Here is a link to read. https://www.healthline.com/health/tactile-hallucinations  Do you know what kind of medication she takes? I know antipsychotics are used but also Anti-seizure and anti-tremor medications can be helpful.

Bipolar can cause hallucinations, but so can other things like schizoaffective disorder. Lowering stress and distraction may help her in the short term. She should see her doctor.
