Pleased for you, Barb, that you're seeing a loss. Great that your neighbor is back and you can take walks, it sure helps to have someone to go with.
I'm at the same weight as last week, not where I want it to be. When we were working so hard on my mom's house, it wasn't unusual to rush off in the morning with a cup of coffee and just have one big meal a day at about 4 pm. Now that her house is done and sold, I'm back to more normal eating and a bit less activity, and it makes a difference. Possibly as I get going on the long-delayed unpacking from our own house move, I'll be more busy, and if so it will definitely help.
Our new kitten is a cutie but it turns out, when he comes in to wake me up adorably with many purrs and the occasional nip on the face, it makes me REALLY sneezy for the rest of the morning. The first time I had an attack I actually took a Covid test because my reaction was so prolonged. If he wasn't a nipper it would probably be less of a problem, but if the half-asleep human isn't patting enough, or too hard, or in some other way is falling down in the patting department, he will give reminder nips. Our big cats find him so annoying that they won't play with him, and I think he's bored, bored, bored. Have been considering getting him a buddy, but we're all nervous about having 4 cats. Three is plenty.
For me this upcoming week is lots of unpacking. I've made the decision to send things to the Goodwill, valuable or not, including light fixtures still in their boxes that we didn't hang but were too busy to take back, and other house-renovation stuff that cost a lot at the time. Up to now, I've hung on to stuff on the theory that it was returnable, but at this point even if it could be returned (and it's been weeks or months so likely not), it's a waste of space. And I finally have time to deal with it. The hard part is that it's discouraging to open yet another mixed box and have to sort it. Wish me luck and persistence.
Have a great week!
